Startup Runway is a 501(c) nonprofit organization dedicated to showcasing the top 10% of women- and minority-led startups across the Southeast and connecting them with sophisticated investors who understand early-stage companies. We’re keeping track of our finalists, and will publish updated on them regularly. Today Patientory,  a Startup Runway Finalist in our third edition, May 2017.

Patientory is a free and easy way to store and manage your health information and get the best answers to any healthcare questions. Their mission is to drive population health management by helping healthcare organizations securely store and transmit data via blockchain cybersecurity and smart contracts.

Chrissa McFarlane, CEO of Patientory, gave us an update on the progress that Patientory has made with their business since participating in Startup Runway in 2017. “Since pitching at Startup Runway, we have launched our beta app and are currently getting feedback on it,” said McFarlane. “We have also filed over 120 disclosures in 11 different patents.” Patientory has successfully integrated into a blockchain testnet network, HealthNet, and unveiled it at the Inaugural Blockchain in Healthcare Summit this past May. “We were recently recognized by the Dubai Smart City Government as one of the first six companies in the world to develop a blockchain product,” added McFarlane.
